Chamber
Unique to Cambridge, this Victorian debating chamber is modelled on the House of Commons. Featuring gently tiered seating on the ground floor, numbering 300, and a further 120 on a surrounding balcony. The acoustics in the room insure that even with a full complement a speaker can still be heard un-amplified. The chamber has hosted a wide variety of events ranging from the weekly debates and famous speakers to inter-faculty quizes and a fashion show. We have even removed all the benches and laid down both a dance floor and a boxing ring.
