Applications for the Director of Development

The Cambridge Union Society, founded in 1815, is looking to appoint a Director of Development and Alumni Relations as part of a new campaign to secure the long term endowment of the Society and its historic building. The Director will work closely with the Society's trustees and officers to initiate a development programme, build relations with alumni and other potential donors, coordinate relations between the Society and the University's Development Office, and assist the trustees with developing the Society's long term capital and financial planning. The Society is seeking an innovative, resourceful and ambitious individual to fill this post for a minimum of two years. No previous experience with development or fundraising is necessary, but some track record of resourcefulness is required. Additional training will also be provided. This new position will be based from the Society's busy Bridge Street Office.

Competitive graduate starting salary. Interested applicants should submit a cover letter, current CV and details of two references to the Society's Board of Trustees at: 9a Bridge Street, Cambridge, CB2 1UB. A short-list of candidates will be interviewed in May.
